WASHINGTON – The FAA has approved a new rule that requires any certified repair stations located outside of the United States to implement a drug and alcohol testing program. This is a large step forward in safety.
The rule also requires repair stations to ensure their employees receive all necessary anti-drug and alcohol abuse training and send their testing data electronically to the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT).
This new rule may affect nearly 1,000 repair stations located in 65 countries.
